Each month we agree on priorities - whether it's developing a strategy, designing a campaign, tweaking your website, or coaching your team. The retainer covers our team's time and expertise to execute those priorities. (See the package details above for examples of typical activities in each tier.)
Because hours don't equal outcomes. We've found that clients care about results - leads, revenue, better branding - not a tally of hours. A flexible retainer lets us act as your partner: if one month you need more design work and the next month more strategy, we adjust accordingly. This model avoids the “over-service or under-service” trap of hourly billing and keeps the focus on high-impact work.
We ask for an initial 3-month commitment for new retainer clients, as real strategic progress takes a bit of time. That said, our arrangements are month-to-month after that - no long-term contracts locking you in. We aim to earn your business each month by delivering value. (You can cancel or adjust your plan with a 30-day notice if needed.)
Absolutely. We understand that your needs and budget may change. You can move between tiers as it makes sense - for example, start in Tier 1 and upgrade to Tier 2 when you're ready to ramp up marketing efforts. We'll also let you know if we believe you'd benefit from a higher tier once we get rolling. It's a seamless transition; we'll simply adjust the scope and billing, and continue the work without interruption.
If you need a large one-off project (like a new website or a video series) that's outside the scope of your retainer, we'll handle it as a separate project proposal. We'll define the scope, timeline, and cost for that project and get your approval before proceeding. The good news: as a retainer client, you get priority scheduling for any add-on work, and our deep familiarity with your business means we can execute faster. Think of it as tapping our team for a special mission, on top of your ongoing plan.
Communication is key. If something urgent comes up, just let us know. Our retainers have some built-in flexibility - we'll do our best to accommodate spikes in need. For truly significant additional work beyond the retainer's scope, we might suggest an add-on or a temporary bump in your plan for that month. The goal is to stay agile and support you when you need it most.
